How Nordfolio makes money

Nordfolio is free to use. The site is funded by display advertising and by affiliate relationships with financial services companies. We may also license calculators and data to other businesses.

We do not sell user data, and we do not accept payment to change a calculation, a methodology, or the result a calculator produces.

Editorial and calculation independence

No advertiser or affiliate partner has any input into our calculators, our published parameters, or the sources we use. Every figure on the site resolves from a versioned parameter with a named source and a retrieval date, shown on the page itself, and that chain is unaffected by any commercial relationship.

Advertising is never placed above or inside a calculator, and never between a form and its result. Ad slots appear only below the tool and its sources.

Affiliate links

Where Nordfolio has an affiliate relationship, the link is labelled as a paid placement, carries a "sponsored" attribute, and appears only on pages where the service is contextually relevant.

We do not place affiliate links for lenders or insurers alongside mortgage, premium, or other lending and insurance calculations. Matching a person to a lending or insurance product is a regulated activity, and Nordfolio does not do it.

An affiliate link is not a recommendation. We do not evaluate, rank, or endorse the services listed, and we do not assess whether any of them suits your circumstances.

Advertising and cookies

Display advertising is served by third-party ad networks. Those networks may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and target advertising, and their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Advertisements are labelled and visually separated from Nordfolio content so the two cannot be confused.
